  1. Good articles-- but that last one made me livid. Why are women and girls losing their lives trying to find a place to pee? Because men are lying in wait to attack them? Well, yes, but that's not the real problem. It's really because there are no public toilets.


    The point seems to be, "Well, we can't do anything about the attackers. It's inevitable that men will lie in wait to attack women. No, the real solution is not teaching boys that they aren't entitled to women's bodies, and it's not cracking down on perpetrators-- it's building better bathrooms."

    That's rape culture illustrated, right there.

  2. Yes- I was thinking about that too. The article didn't mention anything about preventing rape by, you know, getting men to not rape.
