Index of Posts About the March 2022 Shanghai Covid Outbreak

Grass grows out of the sidewalk cracks at the Bund, one of the top tourist sites in Shanghai. In the background, across the river, you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower, the iconic symbol of Shanghai. Image source. Funny story about this: At some point (April 28 or 29 ish) during the lockdown, a picture like this (don't know if it's this exact one) got shared around on WeChat, and the Shanghai government propaganda machine issued a statement that said no it's not true that grass is growing in the sidewalk cracks at the Bund. (SHINE, the English version of the official government-approved news, has since deleted the post from their site, probably because they realized it was very stupid. But the internet is forever.) Like... okay I've never coordinated disaster relief for 25 million people, but I just think that seems like not the highest priority?

Ah well. Each time I write a new post about covid in Shanghai, I've been putting the complete list of previous posts at the top, but it's getting a bit long. Can't believe it's July now and I'm still blogging about this. The lockdown ended on June 1, but we are still caught in a weird space between "back to normal" and "everyone has PTSD" and "oh no, is it going to happen again?"

So here's the post with the whole entire list. I will continue to update this, lolsob.
